A single Christmas benefit matinee will be shown at the local theatre owned by the KS Theatre system to aid the King's Daughters whose treasury is depleted. Adult tickets are offered at a reduced price to fund Christmas plans for the group.

The estate of John Heist purchases J A Rutherford home near Lake Joanna for rental by Carlton Nurser workers. Ula Millard of Toronto rents Moss Building apartment. Mattie B White of Bluefield WV rents Ingram Apartments. C L Harms of West Orange NJ rents an Ingram Block apartment. Geo H Green of Ansonia Conn rents Moss Building apartment for first Florida season. Edgar L rents east Ingram Block store for an Art Gallery.
The J. J. West Realty Company reports the sale of the Mary E. Fel ton property on Seventh avenue to Reginald B. Parker proprietor of Parkers Market. Mr and Mrs Parker will make this their home. Mr and Mrs A W Bertine of Mount Vernon NY and Mount Dora bought the lot on Seventh avenue between Tremain and Grandview adjoining their last year purchase and will build a winter home there. Sale also handled by J J West Realty.
Mr. John H. Washburn of Grays Lake Illinois, wintering in Mount Dora at 209 Ninth Avenue, was struck by two colored boys on bicycles while walking on Baker Street. He was knocked unconscious, treated at home for scalp lacerations and leg injuries, and is recovering.
Orlando municipal organist Walter Kimble will give another Hammond organ recital at the Community church on December 16 under the Community church choir. He will be joined by a vocal soloist for the program, following a well received previous appearance.

Local Knight F J Ledger announced the offer and addressed the student body, while Prof. D D Roseborough thanked the lodge for support.

Lake Dora and nearby lakes invite sailors to a winter season of three mile triangular races starting and ending at Mount Dora Yacht Club. Many boats are expected to compete, with a handicap system to ensure equal chances, and locals are urged to bring boats and participate.

Florida wild life display at Lake County Fair features more than a dozen live animals including foxes coon and quail. Three 4 H Club boys from Eustis and nearby areas display natural habitats with mounted specimens. County Agent R E Norris and assistant Wilmer Bassett lead a ten department exhibit lineup under local officials and home demonstration supervision.

Highlights include Wise Orchestra selections, a welcome by Mayor Simpson, Chamber of Commerce remarks, and a humorous play The Dear Departed directed by Mrs A A Tanner. Warren C. Butts, developer of the Early September orange, survived a coral snake bite while morning wood gathering at his North Donnelly Avenue home. He received prompt medical care from Dr. Fenn, who drained his finger and treated swelling. the snake died and Butts returned to work in his grave and nursery.

Mount Dora resident I L Ronsheim turns 82 and marks 60 years as a Knights of Pythias member. He joined November 22, 1887 in Georgetown Ohio and has led lodges from Georgetown to Charleston W V and LaFayette Ohio before returning to Mount Dora in 1925. He remains active with Mount Dora Lodge and the district travel group.
