Mount Dora Temple No. 12 Pythian Sisters held an August 17 meeting with Grand Chief Florida Caroline Henry as guest. Past Grand Chiefs Pauline Pritchard Cora Richards and Marie Mantey attended with guests, about fifty Sisters and Knights present. Miss Jessie Cooper was initiated and presented with pink radiance roses, followed by a pantomime and a solo. Plans discussed for a special financial meeting on Monday the 24th and efforts to secure additional support continued.

Stevenson pitched eight innings with a bandaged right thumb and earned the win while Morris endured a record setting 20 pitches with twelve balls and zero strikes.
