Mount Dora School Plans Art Course for Fall
Mount Dora’s Fifth ar school may offer art as a subject when classes begin September 4. Mrs. James Burkhalter will teach the course alongside biology and science. She has painted works including a piece of the Sloewood entrance at Tangerine and holds a Master’s in science with a second major in art from the University of Pennsylvania.

School Board Names Mrs Vincent Schieber Fifth Ave School Secretary
Lake County school board approved appointments at a special meeting naming Mrs Vincent Schieber as secretary of the Fifth Avenue School in Mount Dora Eustis district. She replaces Mrs James Jackson who resigned. The Schiebers have three children Gordon Loraine and Larry in local schools.
