Dwelling Razed By Blaze near Clayton Street
A single story frame dwelling at 1610 N Clayton St was destroyed by fire Wednesday morning. The adjacent 1610 N Clayton St dwelling suffered only minor exposure damage. Owner Georgia Devlin reported $5,000 insurance on the destroyed building and contents. Johnny Ellis occupied the burned home and was away at the time of the 7:25 am alarm. Two engines fought the blaze using a nearby hydrant two blocks away.

Mount Dora will be recognized by the Lake County Safety Council for a atality-free 1963 traffic year.
