The Local War Price and Ration ing Board warns gasoline users to protect their ration books and notes that lost or misplaced books cause trouble. Mount Dora School Band Offers Free Summer Sessions at Lakeside Inn

The Mount Dora School Band conducts an intensive summer program at the Lakeside Inn organized with George White. Lake Cancels 79000 In Refunding Bonds

The State Board of Administration was authorized by Lake County Commissioners to cancel 79000 of county refunding bonds. Of the total, 50000 are road and bridge district 8 bonds and 29000 are district 9 bonds. They had been kept in the interest and sinking fund of each district.

First Aid Supplies Arrive For Lake County Defense Council

Col. C. E. Lester announced receipt of 450 dollars worth surgical and medical first aid gear for the Amphibious Corps of the Lake County Defense Council. He also stated a contract with Nick Roth for 100 stretchers at 3 dollars 30 cents each to outfit ambulances. Roth’s bid was the lowest among three firms. The council also received two Sniff Sets for gas defense training, including chemicals tied to real gas scenarios to instruct First Aid response.
