Jennisons In Auto Accident Near Florence South Carolina

Friends of Mr and Mrs Frank A Jennison of Wellesley Massachusetts report they were in an automobile accident while returning from a winter stay in the Marshall apartments. Mrs Jennison was taken to a Florence hospital with minor injuries while Mr Jennison said they planned to continue their trip soon.

Baptist Young People Host Intriguing Sword Drill Contest

In Lake County Intermediate Baptist Training Unions held a two week sword drill in local churches to select a representative for county competition at Tavares. Frances Formby of Eustis achieved the high score and will represent Lake County at the May 22 district meeting in Leesburg. The district winner advances to Jacksonville in June then Ridgecrest in July for state and South wide championships. The Lake County Chamber of Commerce warns merchants and professionals about promoters selling advertising claims from blotters calendars and magazines. A recent visitor took nearly 200 dollars for a special edition that proved to be charitable donations rather than legitimate advertising.
