Mount Dora Home Demonstration Club held its regular monthly meeting in the social room of the unity building on Wednesday April 9. The all day session included forenoon sewing and the club announced a new pressure cooker purchase. A separate event was set for April 24 at the County Home Demonstration kitchen in Tavares with lunch provided by the Tavares club and each member to bring table service sandwiches and a covered dish.

At the regular American Legion Auxiliary meeting at the Community Building Mae Fenton and Nonie Tucker were thanked for steering the 200-cent membership drive.
