Car inspection praised by Jaycees after 148 vehicles
The Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsored car inspection last Saturday called a big success by Dwight Mosteller, the Jaycee public relations chairman. A total of 148 vehicles were inspected, two were refused for slick tires, and two drivers had expired licenses. The inspection was conducted on a vol-unteer basis.

City and ex policeman named in suit seeking damages
A civil action in the United States District Court seeks 200000 in damages against the City of Mount Dora and former policeman Douglas Yates over the death of Nathaniel O. Gunter at a Zellwood service station after a March 22, 1963 confrontation. The widow Roberta Gunter files the suit, alleging unprovoked fatal shooting while Gunter was unarmed. Gunter died March 25 after a coroner’s jury found justifiable homicide. Yates, now on probation on two counts from a New Year’s Eve incident, is named with the city for alleged civil rights violations under the 14th Amendment. Attorneys Morris Woolfork III and Earl M. Johnson represent the plaintiff.
