Mount Dora increases garbage fees and tightens zoning
The Mount Dora City Council voted unanimously to raise monthly garbage collection rates after May 1. City residents will pay $2.25 inside the city and $3.00 outside, with a year‑in‑advance discount cut from 17 percent to 10 percent. The council also amended an R3 zoning change to require that apartments, condos and cooperatives meet specified conditions, including impact on adjacent property, utilities, access, parking, and landscaping, before approval.
