Illegal duck hunting on Oyhakca Wedersl ka area

Yacht Club Elects Kennedy Commodore For 1943-44 Season
At the Mount Dora Yacht Club annual meeting last Thursday night W. M. Kennedy was elected Commodore with Dr S C Colley as Vice Commodore and R F Porter as Rear Commodore. The slate included committee heads for House Regatta Club Stations and Entertainment. The meeting drew forty eight members, the largest attendance of the season, and noted a successful year despite gasoline restrictions. A Thursday supper and pre-supper cocktail were held with rationing considerations discussed.

Mrs Kramer Named Waves and Spars Recruiter in Mount Dora
Mrs Elizabeth Blair Kramer was appointed a volunteer recruiter for Mount Dora in the Navy and Coast Guard Waves and Spars enlistment drive. The Jacksonville district head announced the post, outlining women’s roles in total war and the training and shore assignments possible for Waves and Spars members.
