Police chase ends with stop sticks near Grayville

A high speed pursuit through Mount Carmel and Edwards County ended when stop sticks deployed by Edwards County Deputy and Grayville Officer forced a white 2001 Chevrolet to leave the road and crash into a field. Jessica Aten, 28, Lawrenceville, charged with DUI speeding 110 mph, aggravated reckless driving, disobeying traffic device, improper lane usage. Austin Wiggins, 31, Mount Carmel, cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and held on Lawrence County escape warrant. Both in custody at Wabash County Jail after assistance from multiple agencies.

Sleeping driver causes three car crash at Route 1 bridge

In Wabash County the three car collision on Route 1 bridge over Crawfish Creek occurred Thursday after Phillip J. McCutchan fell asleep at a red light. Gary T. Jessee Laura K. Jessee and Robert Fell were treated for injuries and transported to hospital. Traffic charges are pending as investigators continue.
