Think Again Party Patrols Target Underage Drinking in Wabash County
Wabash County Project Success with Mount Carmel Police and the Sheriff’s Department continues party patrols through May 31 to deter underage drinking. Law enforcement teams 4 to 6 officers patrol hotspots, using breathalyzers funded by a Department of Human Services grant. The program, started in 2014, emphasizes prevention with dispersal techniques and community outreach via ads and a youth parent survey. Citizens can text tips to 262-237-8472 about parties with underage drinking.
