Mount Carmel Approves 1.6 Million Water Line and Sidewalk Upgrade
Mount Carmel City Council approved a 1.631 million dollar water line project for College Drive with a single bid from Lamac Engineering. The plan adds an eight inch water main from 13th Street to Oak Street, abandons older mains, and replaces a section of sidewalk to create an eight foot accessible path. Project completion is hoped for by April 2016, weather permitting, with minimal service disruption and no hospital access impact. The council also granted use of Southgate for a circus, with timing to be announced and no permanent structures planned.
