American Legion Auxiliary Essay Winners Named at Mount Carmel
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 423 and Post 423 honored seventh through twelfth graders from Mount Carmel with an Americanism Essay Contest. Winners include Lillian Grace Foshee first in Class I for seventh and eighth grade and Cedric Deffendell first in Class II for eleventh and twelfth grade. All participants received five dollars and a certificate. top placers earned seventy five, fifty, and twenty five dollars respectively.
