Illini Summer Academies open youth career explorations at UIUC
Illinois 4-H offers a four day college experience from June 26 to 29 on the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign campus inviting youth at least 14 years old who have completed eighth grade. Participants choose from 16 fields including aerospace engineering and veterinary medicine and receive 17 hours of academy instruction plus campus tours and parent workshops. Registration runs on a first come basis with a May 15 deadline. costs range 200 to 420 dollars and financial aid is available from the Illinois 4-H Foundation with donors such as NASA and DuPont Pioneer.
