Lollis leaving Wabash Valley for Dodge City College

Wabash Valley College athletic director and women’s basketball coach Zach Lollis will depart Mount Carmel for Dodge City Community College to lead the Conquistadors women’s basketball program. His tenure at WWC included a 146-70 record, a NJCAA appearance, and GRAC coach of the year honors.

Wabash Mission 100s sweep Carmi in doubleheader

Wabash Mission 100 softball beat Carmi 12-11 in game one then cruised to an 18-4 six inning win. Piper Belt earned the game one victory with six strikeouts in four innings. Rachel Gill led the offense with four singles and three RBIs across the two games. Libby Horton added three RBIs on a 4-6 day, while Tiffany Wood and Hailey Lang also produced multiple hits and RBIs.

Sloan reveals Parkinsons and Lewy body dementia diagnosis

Hall of Fame coach Jerry Sloan, longtime Utah Jazz figure, disclosed to the Salt Lake Tribune that he has Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia diagnosed last fall. The 74 year old, once Lakers opponent and Jazz head coach, remains a Jazz senior adviser and public support from team president Steve Starks called him a living legend.
