Pilot Mountain Man Dies In High Speed Crash
Daima Grover Matthews, 30, of 518 East Main Street, died on impact when his halfton Chevy pickup left Pilot Mountain-Wes tfield Road, struck two utility poles, and pinned him for about three hours. High voltage lines were severed, cutting power to parts of Pilot Mountain and Westfield until rescue crews repaired the lines.
