Judge Humphreys Dies After Illness in Danbury Home
John Daniel Humphreys 63 died at his Danbury residence after influenza and pneumonia. A Rockingham County native born September 1 1867 he practiced law since 1891 and served as judge of the twelfth district after being elected in November. Mountain wreck kills young girl near Galax
Margaret McKenzie 19, daughter of Mrs. Fannie McKenzie, of Galax Route 1, died from injuries when a car plunged down the Fancy Gap mountain road near Hawks filling Station.
