Tragic Jump From Hospital Window Claims Woman
Mrs. Herbert Atkins aged 22 died after leaping from a hospital room window at Martin Memorial hospital. She left a newborn and two other children behind, with her husband and parents listed among survivors. Coroner investigation was declined as no inquest was warranted. She lived in Highland Park and was the daughter of Dan Hodges.
