Corn price support totals announced for Appanoose County
Appanoose County ASC committee reports 78,194 bushels of 1954 corn under price support, down from 1953 levels. 1954 loans include 66,944 stored on farms and 11,250 in purchase agreements, with no warehouse loans. Statewide 1954 loans expected around 90 million bushels, far less than 1953. All 1954 loans mature July 31, as do reseal and extended reseal loans for earlier crops.
