Lavaca County voters cast 6618 ballots in the runoff with Ferguson 4762 and Moody 1782. Attorney general totals: Pollard 8099 and Allred 2855. Tax assessor results favor Turk 8267 over Bujnoch 8191, while tax collector Prasek 3281 defeats Schornack 3188. Public weigher Roeder wins Precinct No 3 by 10.

Miss Edith Krueger of Shiner visited the Victor Fehrenkamp home. The Jaeggli sisters left for Brenham to visit relatives. Henry Schraer and family visited the Joseph Schraer home in Shiner. Millie Krueger of Yoakum was a Fehrenkamp guest. David White and family from San Antonio were in Moulton visiting Mrs. Leona Merrem.

Guenther Ward Wedding in Canyon Sealed United in August

Annabel Frances Guenther and Horace Albert Ward wed in Canyon on August 23 in an intimate ceremony at the bride’s home. Father Clinton officiated as Miss Pauline Brigham led the Mendelssohn march and the couple received guests amid palms and clematis. Midsummer Night's Dream performed at Moulton school grounds

Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night's Dream was staged Friday night August 27 on the Moulton school campus under Mrs. Sam Jaeggli and Miss Ruby Meiners. Forty one participants acted well, with a well received reading by Miss Berger of Flatonia. Admission was 25 and 35 cents, receipts 49.50, net proceeds to the school.

Moore Hotel Sold to Cleburne Buyer

William Kotzebue, longtime operator of the Moore Hotel, sold the property to Herman Chemnits of Cleburne. Chemnits, who has family in town, took charge Wednesday after previously residing here before moving to Cleburne years ago.
