The Fire Department bazaar at Hermann Park drew a large crowd from Moulton and surrounding towns on Sunday October 8 with 755 dance tickets sold. Donations from locals and others funded hundreds of artistic items while the American Legion Band provided music. County officials officiated at auctions and praised the youths for exhibition drills. Receipts totaled 1364.41 dollars as thanks flowed for public cooperation.

Christoph Bossier, a former Flatonia resident who died suddenly at his Galveston home from a heart attack, is buried after funeral services led by Rev. Victor Albert. Born near Flatonia, he moved to Galveston 24 years ago, ran a grocery business, served in Battery F, 64th Artillery during WWI, and was 46. He is survived by his mother, eight siblings, and extended family in Galveston, Flatonia, Moulton, and Taft. Interment was in Flatonia City Cemetery with Rev. A. H. Falkenberg officiating.
