The Moulton Bobkatz defeated Round Top Carmine 41 to 34 in a tight local league game at the Moulton High School gym. Hoyer led Moulton with 12 points, while Mueller topped Round Top Carmine with 15. The second string contest ended 35 to 27 in favor of Moulton.

World famous violinist Joseph Szigeti will perform with the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra at the Municipal Auditorium on Saturday evening November 30. He is listed by Collier's as one of the three greatest violinists, alongside Kreisler and Heifetz. Szigeti hails from Budapest.

Home Demonstration Club Meets at Mrs Stavinoha’s

The Home Demonstration Club met at Mrs Chas Stavinoha’s home on Oct 23 with six members. County agent Miss Ritter demonstrated the use of new cooking Presto Pressure Pots and shared recipes. The group planned a Christmas party for Dec 11 at Mrs Frank Kouba’s home and a Council Bazaar at Hallettsville around Dec 4 with homemade articles collected by Miss Ritter. Refreshments were served.

Lions Club Buys Trophies For December Tournament

The Moulton Lions Club met at Pundt's place on November 21 with twenty members present. Claiss Wiseman attended as a guest. The club authorized $20 for trophies for the basket ball tournament scheduled December 13 and 14. William Lee Young agreed to prepare a Farmers Bulletin Board in City Hall to share late farm information. Young also spoke on the next FFA project. over 40 FFA members are eligible for the annual show.
