Future Homemakers Exhibit Work Friday and Saturday

The Future Homemakers display garments they made in Homemaking II at Wagner's Cleaning and Pressing Shop show windows on Friday afternoon and Saturday until 5 p m. The exhibit includes garments made from new materials and renovated clothing. The public is invited to view the work from the local high school's Homemaking Department.

Federal revenue collections fall in Texas in Oct

Federal internal revenue receipts in Texas totaled 58,469,523 dollars for October, down 5.5 percent from October 1945. For the four months of the current fiscal year, collections reached 289,479,282 dollars, a 5 percent drop versus the same period last year.

Otto Vogt within The Hunters took a ten point buck near Yoakum Saturday morning. Dr Sam Jaeggli killed an eight point buck near San Marcos Saturday. Edgar Freytag shot a four point buck on the Ed Kolar ranch below Hallettsville last Sunday. Frank Wick Funeral Held Friday Morning

Frank J. Wick died at his home in Appelts Hill on November 13 after a long illness. He was born in Fayette County on November 2, 1878 and was 68. He married Johanna Hedweg Dietschke in 1904. Survived by widow five daughters a son a sister a stepbrother a stepsister and 16 grandchildren. Funeral Solemn Mass at Sacred Heart Hallettsville with interment in Hallettsville Catholic Cemetery. The Wick family had lived in the Moulton area before moving to Appelts Hill.
