Mrs Emma Kruse Returns Home After Visit
Mrs Emma Kruse who had stayed with Mrs Menke and daughter Miss Helen Urban returned to her Cheapside home Saturday. She took sewing lessons from Miss Helen Urban. The Eagle notes the next regular meeting of the Bauraville Lutheran Frauen Verein will be with Mrs R J Vogt on Wednesday November 9. A quilt will be made and all members urged to attend.

Forty Two Club entertains with games and prizes
On Saturday evening October 22 Mrs Helen Kotzebue hosted the Forty Two Club. Four tables were arranged for seven games with Mrs Frank Wagner winning a beautiful vase. Mrs Pauline Dierschke nee Seidel died Friday at age 79 11 19 in Oak Grove. Funeral from son Joseph A Dierschke's home followed by burial in Moulton Catholic cemetery. Survived by eight children Joseph Gustav Paul Frank Diersebke two daughters in law and many grandchildren great grandchildren three brothers and one sister.

A Halloween event at the Sam and Will Moore Institute featured lanterns, ghosts, witches, Indians, clowns and other symbols. The campus was festively decorated and refreshments were served to a large crowd. teachers and organizers earned praise for the celebration. Dr and Mrs James D Gray of Yoakum attended as guests of Mr and Mrs Rudolph Jaeggli, while Mr and Mrs Jobo L Janzen hosted a birthday gathering for Mrs Janzen with relatives and friends attending.

Bazaar at Hermann Park Hall Draws Steady Support
The Catholic Ladies Aid bazaar at Hermann Park Hall Sunday afternoon drew a smaller crowd than past events but was successful. Death of Simon Meyer Recalls Life of Austrian Immigrant
Simon Meyer died at his home west of Old Moulton on Thursday morning after a weeks long illness. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church on Friday with Rev. Father Kopp officiating. He was born October 28, 1839 in Austria and died one day short of 82. Arriving in America in 1883, he lived in Minnesota before moving to Texas in 1884, settling near Flatenia and later near Moulton. his wife died in 1890.
