Farewell Party For Moulton Girl Honors Mrs Schoenig
Mrs L C Schoenig who left for LaGrange Friday was honored with a farewell party at the home of Dr and Mrs Jaeggli on May 21. Guests wrote advice for the bride to follow and prizes were awarded for towel hemming contests intelligence tests and kitchen quizzes. The honoree received a percolator and other gifts.

All Home Talent Play Makes Big Hit Here
An all home production Our Wonderful Banner a one act play was staged at the Moulton school auditorium on May 26. The Girl Scouts under Miss Anita Richter presented scenes including Old Glory pledges flag history and use rules. Receipts totaled 51.65 with special musical numbers by an American Legion Band and vocalist Mrs Humbursky Leazar.

Memorial Services Largely Attended in Moulton Cemetery
Around 2,500 people joined a Memorial Day service in the Moulton Public Cemetery on Sunday May 25 led by Geier Merrem Post No 892 American Legion with Legionnaires Scouts and the Legion Band. Ernest Cox state commander delivered the address. A barbecue followed and auxiliary signatures were gathered for a local Legion unit. Distinguished guests included Mrs F H Carpenter and other Texas Legion officials.
