Adjournment of Texas Legislature Ends Shortest Session
Austin Texas Thursday morning Speaker Seagler called the first called session to order and at 11 o'clock declared the session ended, the shortest in Texas house history. Three senators opposed adjournment, while three were absent. A pro tempore was elected and glee club selections marked the closing minutes. The regular session adjourned later the same day with key tax bills signed and rules amended.
