Names of local families visiting in Shiner route three include Knesek and Kubicek households with Hartl and Hartl family members also noted. Pvt Edward J. Hartl from Fort Sam Houston spent weekend with L S Knesek and Joe Hartl's parents. A Saturday gathering at Ed Lehner t home included multiple local couples and the Clouby family hosted Sunday visitors. Ed Washicek left for Corpus Christi to work on the Caldwell ranch.
The Komensky Parent-Teacher Association met Thursday night March 9. Minutes were read and approved, bills paid, and a play report noted a net profit of 13.22 dollars. After business there were games and refreshments. Next meeting is April 14. Everyone is invited.
