Moulton Texas Lavaca County mayoral election ordered for the first Tuesday of April 1939. Polls open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at City Hall. Candidates must file with the city secretary ten days before the election. Geo. von Lienen named presiding judge.
Miss Silvia Michalka of San Marcos visited the home of Mr and Mrs Malvin Merrem during the past week end. Mr Ed Pundt and family returned to Seguin Sunday after a pleasant visit with relatives and friends.
Postmaster John M. Meiners and his family have moved into the John Gajer residence on West Second Street, marking a change of occupancy for the neighborhood.
The Moulton Fire Department announces its annual dance at Herman Park Hall on Wednesday night April 19. County Judge Paul H. Fertsch of Hallettsville will address the Moulton Business Men's League at the February 21 meeting. Ruth Young Hal lettsville investigator for Old Age Assistance will be in Moulton Monday morning to hear applicants from 8 to noon.
Prominent local farmers John Hofner Slavek Kolar Rud Prasek Frank Jilek and Ad Vana gathered in Avatin on Monday February 27 to attend a Kerr resolution hearing. A large group of farmers was present for the session described as most interesting.
