Plant Home Gardens This Year in College Station

Planting home gardens in Texas offers low cost food and better nutrition. In 1950 Texas had 477076 home gardens expected to yield about 75 percent of vegetables for the family. If gardens produced $50 per yard, the total would reach 23853800. at $100 it would be 47707600, aiding the state food bill. Each person needs 600 to 700 pounds of fresh vegetables annually. Hutchison urges keeping physically fit as a patriotic duty.
