James Robert Preston 25 Died After Brief Illness in San Antonio
Jimmie Preston a Del Rio Southern Pacific dispatcher died June 6 at the Santa Rosa infirmary in San Antonio after a brief illness. He was born March 23, 1892, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Preston, and leaves three sisters. Funeral services were held at Moulton Catholic Cemetery with large attendance and floral tributes. The Eagle extends sympathy to his family.

Doose Dies by Poison After Accused Killing
Henry Doose of Witting who faced an examining trial for the Albin Schneider murder committed suicide by poison Wednesday at the home of William Stoeltje. Doose had been free on a $5000 bond after the Hallettsville hearing. E G Cowdin of Flatonia, 68, trucked and killed by a Southern Pacific train, survived by his widow two daughters and a son. He belonged to Masonic fraternity Knights of Pythias and Sons of Herman.
