The Gonzales market showed active trading across stocker and feeder calves yearlings with gains of 2.00 to 3.50 per head and packer calves 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Hog prices rose 1.00 to 1.50 while cattle sections ranged with cattle and calves finding strength in top grades and lighter weight cows softer.
Mrs. Emil Muehlstein and Mr. A J Breitschopf attended the commencement in San Antonio on May 26 for Scott Anthony Muehlstein. Scott is the grandson of the Muehlstein and Breitschopf families.
The FHA held a May 12 meeting in the library with opening ceremonies led by President Karen Bohuslav. Minutes were read, and officer elections produced Karen Bohuslav as President and Suzette Metal as Vice President, with multiple posts filled.
