Texas Ballot Forms Sent for August 26 Special Election
The secretary of state mailed ballot forms to county election officials for Texas. Voters will decide five constitutional amendments on one ballot: repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment, legalization of 3.2 percent beer, county home rule for large counties, $20,001,000 state bonds for unemployment relief, and extending the homestead exemption to remitted state tax counties. The four state questions appear on a single ballot.

Wesley Calder Elliott of Alpine died at Shiner hospital and was buried in Moulton Public Cemetery on Saturday afternoon July 1. Rev. C. A. Dickson conducted the funeral. Pallbearers were Monroe Cluiss Leland Johnson Walter Johnson Oscar Thompson Pren Lockwell and Zat Johnson. He was born September 17 1900 aged 32 years 9 months and 14 days. Surviving are his widow Mima Kuhen and son, his parents J. H. Elliott and wife Alpine, two brothers Hamilton Elliott Kansas and Dave Elliott Alpine, three sisters Mrs. Lewis Ritchey Marathon Mrs. Laury Bless Alpine and Mrs. D. N. Hendricks Houston. He joined the Missionary Baptist Church in 1925 and remained a faithful member. The Eagle extends sympathy to the bereaved family.

Mrs Anton Culak of near Henkhaus died at the local hospital Tuesday night after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Thursday at home and at St Joseph's Church in Moulton with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. She was 46 years 7 months and 21 days old. Surviving are her husband five children three brothers and five sisters.
