Long Ago Barn Fire Claims Fine Horse and Losses
In 1914 a morning barn fire at August Linbrugger's property destroyed the barn and a fine horse tied in a stall. Will Hull, a transfer man, lost the horse, buggy, and $100 in foodstuff as the rest of the outbuildings were saved by bucket brigades. The total loss is estimated at $400 with unknown origin. Two other horses survived.
