Sam Jaeggli visited Shiner on Monday while Sam Bunting of Uvalde has been in town since the last issue. John F. Richter and Henry Giesbers returned from West on Wednesday. Minnie Hillmer came back Tuesday from Shiner relatives. Dr. F J Guenther was in Cuero last Thursday on professional business. Mrs Joe Hughes returned home Sunday after visiting relatives. F Biebunko and Jim Nachlinger were in Shiner between trains on Tuesday. Rev E Schindler was in Shiner Tuesday between trains. Ed Boehm and Sons and F J Knesek have new advertisements in The Eagle. R Preston, the station master, returned Wednesday from Houston, with R M Pinen in charge during the absence. The Hallettsville commissioners court appointed Dick Strauss constable of Schiller precinct to fill the term of his deceased father Jacob Strauss. Kubena returned from Hallettsville Wednesday. Lutherans elected Otto Hilert August Krause and Dr P O Puck as church trustees at a Sunday meeting. John Mueller and B von Lienen hold over from last year. Installation set for Sunday morning.
