Columbus Couple Indicted in Drowning of Newborn Baby

Mrs Rene Marlene Becker 22 and her husband were indicted by a Columbus Grand Jury for drowning their newborn in a Eagle Lake Christmas Eve water tank. Becker faces charges of killing the infant by drawing it in water and by strangling. Her husband is charged with advising and encouraging the crime. Becker is also accused of a Houston store robbery last Wednesday with accomplice Gilberto Guzman, taking 150.

Rex Allen will be grand marshal of the San Antonio stock show western parade opening Friday February 18 at 2 30 p m.
