Written account details a Cuero party including W F and C L Crouch J F Crouch and O L Crouch sailing from Cuero on the 10th to Port Lavaca after camping and oyster fishing along Lavaca Bay. They describe oyster houses employing about 50 men and a schooner the Little Charlie captained by Dick Ericson with Henry Cohen as mate, cruising to Sand Point for oysters and camping near Indianola.
