Universal Studio film to be shot near Shiner area
Universal Studios of California plans a movie titled Resurrection to be filmed five and a half miles west of Shiner on the Hinze farm run. The abandoned home is being rebuilt into a two story structure with a barn and bunkhouse under construction. Crew members work seven days a week and expect initial shooting within a week with a move back in March 1979. Local recruits from San Antonio and New Braunfels assist, while a small boy and a teenage girl are among the needed actors.
