Petticoat Ranch Play Draws Large Moulton Crowd

Moulton High School seniors staged a three act play Petticoat Ranch in the school gym Sunday night December 5 to a good sized audience. Cast included Bill Ewing Francis Fisbeck B C Jackson Benny Marek Georgia Michalec and more. Director Malvin K Merrem praised the performances and Totsy Biehunke Ja Nell Pietsch provided piano music. Door receipts totaled 90.38 and thanks were extended to all helpers. Meanwhile Sergeant Johnnie F. Eilert and Miss Wilhelmine Berger wed in Munich Germany November 20 and plan to be home around Christmas after his three year Army tour.

Bobkatz Win Sheridan Cage Tourney In Overtime Thriller

The Moulton Bobkatz took first place at the Sheridan invitation tournament last Saturday after a 40 40 tie with the Sheridan Sandies in regulation and an overtime win in the extra period. Willie Ed Maresh hit a decisive late shot as Maresh and Francis Fisheck led the team with standout play. Francis Fisheck was named to the all tournament team and received a gold miniature basketball.

Mary Faltisek dies at 80 in Moulton area

Mrs. Mary Faltisek aged 80 years 10 months and 29 days died November 30 at 4:45 PM at the home of her daughter in law Ad Darilek near Henkhaus where she had lived 38 years. Funeral held at Oehl Chapel Moulton and St Josephs Church with Rev Joseph Kopp officiating. Interment in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Survived by one daughter sister two brothers several half siblings five grandsons and four great grandchildren.

W L Cherry Buried at Spur

W L Cherry died suddenly of a heart attack at his Spur Texas home on Thursday November 25 at age 83 years 8 months 22 days. He was born February 3 1865 in Louisiana and lived in Gonzales Old Moulton before moving to Spur in 1911. Interment followed November 26 at 3 PM in Spur public cemetery after services at First Presbyterian Church led by Rev Vaughn. He leaves three sisters Miss Eulah Cherry Spur and Mrs Ruby Sockwell and Mrs Fannie Sockwell Moulton along with many nieces nephews and friends.

The Moulton Fire Department held its annual officers election at the fire station on Monday night. A J Darilek was elected president with E A Jaeggli as vice president, W H Pundt chief, Lee Jarosek first assistant, Edmund Kram second assistant, Malvin Merrem secretary, Wm Miculka treasurer, Rev John Matocha chaplain. Edward Darilek declined re election. all other officers were re elected.
