Veteran Ranger 92 Years Old Celebrated in Yorktown
Capt. Rudd aged 92 was toasted in Yorktown Texas on August 14 for a long life as a Texas Ranger. Born in 1845 in England he came to America in 1872 and joined a Ranger troop in 1874 to help settle the Sutton and Taylor feud in De Witt County. He later moved with the troop to Yorktown under Capt L H McNally.

Allreds Return From Mexico Vacation in Texas

They crossed at Laredo around 2 am Sunday and arrived in Austin with their two youngest sons David and Sam Houston.
