Older Workers Show High Reliability in 1960s Survey
A University of Illinois study of 1,025 older employees finds 16 percent rated excellent, 32 percent very good, and 36 percent good in overall performance. Seventy percent were absent less often than younger staff, 50 percent more dependable in quality, and 10 percent matched younger coworkers in getting along with others. New Tomato Texto 1 Variety Found for South Texas
A new high yield early maturing tomato named Texto 1, developed at Winter Haven Experiment Station from Rutgers and Bounty, will be available to growers by late summer. Seed is with certified producers, and tests show 50 to 100 percent more marketable fruit than Rutgers from 1950 to 1954.
