Miss Janell Pietsch returned from Houston where she joined Mr. and Mrs. L Kessler and Mrs. Wm. Pietsch on a trip through Texas Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Tennessee North Carolina and Arkansas. They visited Birmingham Ruby Falls Rock City Gardens Lookout Mountain near Chattanooga the Great Smoky Mountains the Hermitage in Nashville and Hot Springs National Park.
The youngsters played two more softball games on the lighted field. Hruska's team defeated Arndt's 21 to 9 and Jarosek's team beat Oehl's 23 to 9. Lions Club plans to organize multiple teams for players 12 and under.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Malinek of Moulton announce the birth of a daughter on Wednesday August 2 at 5 50 AM at Dr Hugo J Strieder Hospital. She weighs seven pounds four hundred forty four ounces and is named Cynthia Ann. The couple now has a boy and a girl.

Joe J. Koudelka, recently discharged from the U.S. Army, has re-enlisted for another three years. He is spending his furlough with his parents Mr and Mrs Anton Koudelka.
The Moulton Lions Club held its first monthly meeting with 21 members present. Captains Frank Biehunke Jr and J L Meyer announced readiness for the big game set for Thursday night August 10. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday night August 17.
Postmaster John M. Meiners expanded the lobby and installed 72 additional mail boxes, promising quicker service for patrons awaiting boxes.
Joe Vyoral, a county road crew member, is erecting a new house about one mile north of Moulton on Highway 95. He purchased the building site from Jodie Gold.

Francis Fisbeck son of Mr and Mrs G G Fisbeck of Moulton and Miss Allyne Heinsohn daughter of Mr and Mrs Fritz Heinsohn of Witting near Moulton will represent Moulton at the V J celebration in Schulenburg on Sunday August 13 The Moulton Chamber of Commerce sponsors the city's representatives.

Wm B Manning has leased the cleaning and pressing shop from Frank A Cinadr and will run the business. Billie Manning is described as a hustler with experience in this work, a Moulton High School graduate last May, and a World War II veteran. He is the son of Mr and Mrs W B Manning of Moulton. His ad appears on another page this week.
F Treptow a theology student from Hallettsville filled the Zion Lutheran Church pulpit in Moulton Sunday evening while the pastor Rev K Windecker was absent.
The Moulton Chamber of Commerce will station cotton buyer John Gaida at the chamber office in the Moulton Fire Station for the current season. In cooperation with ginners, this arrangement aims to secure the highest market price for local cotton and prevent sales to outside markets. The first 10 050 physicals begin Monday and run to Aug 18. The initial 10 050 plus this group total 20 100 men. Local board quotas for October will match September.

Mr and Mrs George Fojtik of Yoakum announce the birth of a baby girl on August 7 at Huth Memorial Hospital. The child weighed seven pounds and is named Darlene Sue. She is welcomed by her sister Dolores Jean.
