Aged Texas Matriarch Elizabeth Reindl Dies at 94

Mrs. Elizabeth Reindl died Tuesday morning at her son Frank Jilek Sr.'s home. She was 94 and lived in this part of Texas. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Church with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Kopp officiated. She is survived by twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

The State Automatic Tax Board meeting in Austin for several days has set the state tax rate at 69 percent of the hundred dollar property valuation. Seven cents goes for Confederate pensions, 35 cents for public schools, and 27 cents for general purposes.

Forty Two Club Hosts Bunko Event At Mrs Biebun Jr Home

The Forty Two Club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Frank Biebun Jr.Last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. O Casey won high score and received hot table mats. Mrs Oscar Anders held second high score and got a crumb tray. A luncheon including tongue sandwiches potato salad crackers iced tea and pineapple cake was served.
