The Texas Lutheran College Band of Seguin conducted by F. W. Tampkre played a sixteenth annual South Texas tour stop at the Lutheran Church. The 30-piece group offered marches solos hymns and novelty numbers to a pleased crowd as Rev. H. F. Ander and Rev. E. Jacobs addressed the audience and stressed the college’s work for youth.

Seven candidates contested the county election with Boethel winning by 128 votes from 2811 balloting. Boethel, a former 45th legislature member, had 831 votes, while Valenta, Hobbs, Wimberly and others trailed. A special election at Moulton drew 256 votes with Boethel leading among minor nominees.
