Racing Repeal Bill Again is Delayed
Austin April 6 The senate refused three times to set a wagering repeal bill for special consideration. A motion to set for Wednesday failed 15 17 and another for Thursday failed 15 18. A third motion to set for Wednesday was rejected 14 13. Two thirds needed to move the bill from its calendar. The measure sits far down the calendar with supporters hoping for a special order.

Mrs. Joe Rembs nee Sophie Rothbauer of near Shiner died at Shiner hospital Tuesday night. Funeral held at Eschenburg Funeral Home Thursday morning with rites at Shiner Catholic Church Rev L P Netardus officiating. Burial in Shiner Catholic Cemetery. She was 47 years 1 month 26 days. The Moulton Volunteer Fire Department held its monthly meeting with large attendance. Hallettsville Texas April 6 Carrie Gilbert was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary after a Monday district court hearing for murder. Mrs Joe A Grabmann aged 45 was buried Monday. Former Moulton Resident Succumbs in Houston
Louis Windel, a former Moulton resident, died in Houston of heart trouble. Funeral services were held in Houston with burial at South Park Cemetery. Born in Weimar 62 years ago, he lived in Moravia and Moulton before moving to Houston six years ago.
