Celestine Martin Mitchell was born and raised in Courtland, educated at Florence Normal College, married in 1910 to lawyer William Mitchell. Survived by husband infant son two Morene daughters mother and brother David L. Martin. Funeral featured hymn Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
