Lawrence County voters опе firmly supported the Good Roads Bond Issue by about 1120 for and 43 against, a near 96 percent approval. Morgan and Jefferson counties also backed the bond strongly, with reports suggesting a landslide for road improvement.

Absent Student Miss Mamie Burch Ill This Week

Junior Miss Mamie Burch was absent this week due to illness. James Kitchens spent the weekend with family at Kitchens Mill. History teacher Mr. Sellars preached at Enon Sunday and reportedly ate so much chicken that he tore down the auditorium stage steps Monday. Rev Holdridge led chapel Tuesday and delivered a fine talk to the students.
