Hon. B. L. Owen of Columbus Mississippi spends a few days in Moulton on business. Owen has many friends here who are always glad to see him and have a chat.
Mr John F Yarbough County Farm Demonstrate conducted a two day business tour of the lower part of the county on Monday and Tuesday visiting local farms and discussing agricultural matters with residents and farmers.
Mesers Byron Stephenson A. E. McBride and Fred Heflin attended a box supper at Mid Way School on Saturday night. They report both high priced boxes and a cold ride.
Mr. Ralph Spangler of Town Creek was observed in Moulton last week, part of local movement and community visibility. The report notes the brief appearance without detailing purpose or events.

Mr. H. W. Weiserhan superintendent of the Jumbo Poplar Co. departed Tuesday for Baltimore to attend to important business matters related to the company and its operations.
A French memorial service will be held next Sunday at 11 o'clock at the Mexican Baptist Church. All members of the public are invited to attend.
The city youths enjoyed an evening of lively dancing at the home of Mrs John White on Thursday. The event featured music and social交流 in a friendly, informal setting, with attendees expressing appreciation for the host’s hospitality.
A Friday entertainment at the Public School to celebrate the opening of the new school drew a large crowd and raised a good sum of money. Attendees reported a delightful time and overall success.

Lawrence County voters опе firmly supported the Good Roads Bond Issue by about 1120 for and 43 against, a near 96 percent approval. Morgan and Jefferson counties also backed the bond strongly, with reports suggesting a landslide for road improvement.
The Young People’s Society of the Methodist Church met Sunday afternoon at four for its regular monthly devotional. Despite some absences, the program was patriotic with readings, songs, and a brief talk on Foreign Missions. A pledge of 40.00 was noted, and the next social will be at Mrs. Weisenhan’s home. Frances Hardin supervised.
The L. C. H. S. Boys defeated Hatton Junior High 6 to 8 in a muddy road weary football contest. Pitcher Prett Hel i starred with all goals for Moulton while Shelton Holland Wallace and Corum led Hatton. Hatton plans another game in Moulton next Friday 27th as excitement grows.
Preparation is under way for field day with anticipation and a fine exhibit planned by the High School. The K W Q Society selected Clyde Horton Wert Bayne and Dosia Wallace as their representatives for the annual intersociety debate and essay contest for 1920.
Junior Miss Mamie Burch was absent this week due to illness. James Kitchens spent the weekend with family at Kitchens Mill. History teacher Mr. Sellars preached at Enon Sunday and reportedly ate so much chicken that he tore down the auditorium stage steps Monday. Rev Holdridge led chapel Tuesday and delivered a fine talk to the students.
Seventeen seniors consisting of young ladies and gentlemen have ordered their class rings. The Lee’s and K W Q’s societies presented strong programs last Thursday and have performed well this year.
