A fine of 500 dollars was imposed and this he cannot pay. Unless the fine is paid he must remain incarcerated for another month.

Embezzlement case against ex-Treasurer Gill withdrawn. he must surrender accounts. McKinley’s New York banquet speech lifts London stock market. Draper guilty of murder at Jacksonville life sentence. Consul Gowey informs death of interpreter Licco in Kanagawa. Dr. John C. Corley dies of apoplexy after birthday party. Mrs. Daniel Smith of Louisiana dies at 107 in Donaldsonville.
