A long list of holiday requests from boys and girls across Moulton and nearby towns in 1907 recounts their wishes for apples, candy, nuts, toys, books, dolls, firearms, and other presents. Each letter asks Santa Claus to bring items for siblings and needy children, mentioning homes in Moulton, Paris Tennessee, Montgomery and Hillsboro along with addresses and school affiliations.
Santa writes from the North Pole dated December 16, 1907 to children, noting plans to travel around the world and to visit them. He mentions reading letters in The Moulton Advertiser, praises their spirit, and describes extreme cold and deep snow. He signs as Santa Claus and bids farewell briefly.
On the evening of November 27 the angel of death claimed Tom Berryhill aged 17 from the home of John R. and Mollie E. Berryhill. He was obedient, kind, and affectionate, with a strong faith and four years as a member of the M E Church. He will be missed at home church and Sunday School. Readings express grief yet comfort that he has joined the choir of the redeemed in heaven. He is not dead but asleep amid heavenly praise. A Friend.

In J Lawrence County Alabama guardian B F Hagood, as guardian of Elisabeth J Gray's estate, petitions to sell estate lands for the support and maintenance of the ward. A hearing is set for January 18, 1908, with notice to all interested parties to contest if desired. Witness dated December 1, 1907, by Judge C Kumpr.
Amos Terry of Mouton Alabama files five year proof for Homestead Entry No 27241 dated May 1 1902 for the SE LSE Section 36 Township 5 South Range 8 West before the Probate Judge at Mouton Alabama on January 15 1908 Witnesses include George T Moats Charles C Tai Silas B Newood all residents of Mouton Alabama Robert D Johnston Deputy Register of the Land Office reports the filing rumor of continuous residence and cultivation for the claim.
George W. Osborn of Danville Alabama files notice of intention to make final five years proof for Homestead Entry No. 27279 in St NW and NW NW4 Section 36 Township 8 South Range 7 West Huntsville Meridian. Proof will be before the United States District Judge in Madison on January 16 1908. Witnesses: Mat A Parker John M Brannon James A Ortner Jasper A Osborn all of Danville Alabama.
