Grundy County Corn Festival marks 24th annual event
The Grundy County Corn Festival celebrates 24 years this weekend in Morris with a full slate of activities and a 50 cent button. The Antique Gas Engine Show runs 11 am to 5 pm Sunday at Goodyear lot on Liberty Street with about 40 restored engines from 1890 to 1930. The day ends with a Morris Community High School band concert, prize drawing and fireworks finale at the athletic field.

Kalamazoo teen waived to circuit court in double murder case
A 15 year old from Kalamazoo was waived to Kalamazoo Circuit Court to face two counts of murder for the deaths of Linda Clark and Claudia Bidstrup near the Kalamazoo River. The same charges were brought against Danny Ranes, 28, of Portage, who was bound over for trial. Both defendants are held without bond as the case moves forward.

Rabbit chases through LA as officer pursues elusive rabbit
